Context

Food. Transportation. Healthcare. Housing. And more. The Obvious community is reimagining the fundamental building blocks of our society. Joining forces with key influencers, they take on these categories by identifying and inviting in entrepreneurs who recognize they are a part of something much bigger than themselves.

Solution

As part of their outreach efforts to engage with purpose-driven leaders harnessing technology to positively transform the biggest industries of our economy, we developed a welcome gift that communicated Obvious’ common purpose and commitment to make an imprint on the world. Presented to each Champion in a custom gift box with the Champion story, this piece of art was Obvious’ statement of commitment to change the world for the better.

01 Creating Art from Nature

We engaged Andre Mirzaian to develop a limited edition of woodblock prints made from a foraged stump found in The Ardennes. Fired and charred to bring out the wood grain. This print was part of a limited edition of 16 prints each with its own character.
